Welcome students! You are about to undertake an adventure in music.
Learning the guitar and/or drums can provide years of enjoyment for yourself and
others, but it will be hard work sometimes. However, the effort is
worth it. Below are my policies for lessons:

Lessons/Payment

Guitar & drum lessons will be billed on a monthly basis, regardless of the
number of weeks in that month (generally four, but some months three to
five). Payment will be expected on the first lesson of each month:

$95 for 1/2 hour lessons
$140 for 45 minute lessons
$190 for 1 hour lessons

Cancellations

Unless an emergency arises, I require a 24-hour advance cancellation
notice to reschedule a weekly lesson. There will be times when the
student becomes ill during the school (or work day for older students)
and you may need to cancel without the advance notice. In this case,
please call me as soon as possible and I will do what I can to offer a
make-up time. The make-up lesson will either be on another day of the
week or the lesson will be extended - i.e., two lessons back-to-back
(works well with 1/2 hour students).

Music Books, Tuners, etc.

Books and equipment (electronic tuners, guitars, drums, metronomes) will need
to be purchased by the student as aids to learning. If Braswell Music
does not carry these items, then I will direct you to a store close by
that will.

Vacations

I give lessons during the school year and during the summer months.
I teach Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings in addition to Saturdays
if Saturdays are not convenient for you. I follow the Gwinnett County
School system schedule of holidays and spring break. Teacher work-days
and early release days will not be considered holidays.
